NiSV & academy
NiSV qualification and further training.
Through our cooperation partner you can complete all NiSV qualification modules as well as training in cosmetics and aesthetic devices.
The NiSV
What is the NiSV?
The NiSV is the German regulation on protection against harmful effects of non-ionising radiation when applied to humans. It came into force on 31 December 2020 to protect clients from harm and practitioners from liability risks.
Since 31 December 2022, devices covered by the NiSV may only be used for cosmetic applications with a successfully completed qualification.
Who does it affect?
Everyone who uses such devices commercially without a medical degree: from career changers and experienced beauticians to alternative practitioners.
Which devices does it cover?
Devices that emit energy into or onto the skin: lasers, IPL/SHR and other optical radiation, ultrasound, radiofrequency and applications with magnetic fields and high-frequency electromagnetic fields. Devices below the defined power values are not covered and count as NiSV-free.
Is my device affected?
You can find out from the manufacturer, in the operating manual or through an expert report, for example from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für EU-Konformität (DEGEUK) e. V. We are happy to help you classify your device.
